Trump Is Publicly Humiliating the Saudis so Much It’s Making the Hezbollah Gen-Sec Feel Pitty

That's not how you're supposed to talk about the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

Let it not be said Trump has never done anything for Middle East peace. Listen to this speech where he explains the with which he allegedly extorted vast sums of protection money from the Saudis on the account of the Pentagon “defending” them:

“Look, Saudi Arabia, very rich country, we defend them, we subsidize Saudi Arabia. They have nothing but cash, right? We subsidize them. And they buy a lot from us, $450 billion they bought,” Trump began. “You know, You had people wanting to cut off Saudi Arabia. They bought $450 billion. I don’t want to lose ‘em! But the military, we subsidize Saudi Arabia!”

“I called the King. I like the King. I said ‘King, we’re losing our ass defending you, King, and you have a lot of money.’ That’s true. And he said ‘but why would you be calling me, nobody has ever made such a call before.’ I said that’s because they were stupid!  So we’re working a deal with Saudi Arabia. So many places. So many places. I tell you what, honestly, it’s easier than collecting $113.57 from a tenant in a bad location in New York City. And it’s safer too.”

Trump’s bragging at the Saudi royals expense is such that the leader of the pro-Iranian Shia Hezbollah movement admitted it made him feel pitty for his mortal enemies:

Mr. Trump mocks the Saudis and constantly humiliates them. One would expect him to respect his friends, thank them, express his gratitude, invoke God’s blessings upon them, compliment them, and so on and so forth… But every day, he denigrates them. Every day, he humiliates them. We all saw Trump’s last speech. He laughed a lot, as well as his audience, (boasting about the ease with which he extorted money from Saudi Arabia).

Yesterday, in a meeting with some (Hezbollah) brothers, I told them… I’ll tell you frankly. I do not like King Salman, I hate his guts. I hate him from the bottom of my heart. But listening to the way Trump talked about him, I felt sorry for him. I felt sorry for him. See how Trump insults them, humiliates them, crushes them, degrades them…

Where is the Arab pride? Where is Islam? Where are the two holy places (Mecca and Medina)? Where are the clans? Where are the tribes? Where are the… I do not know what to call them… these swords with which they dance? Where is their honor? Not a single word! Not a single word!

Saudi Arabia is an absolute monarchy founded by austere desert tribes from a warrior/raiding culture placing a premium on honor. The leaders are supposed to be these regal figures uniting behind themselves fierce desert clans and holy Muslim warriors, and here there is a New York punk, who is supposed to be their friend and ally, and to whom they extend every hospitality when he visits, using them as the butt of his jokes and fish tales.

This will either cause resentment in Riyadh that could down the line come back to bite the Empire in some way. Or if the Saudi court truly no longer cares for appearances — it will diminish their prestige and they will be the ones to pay the price in the eyes of their subjects.

In other words, either way it’s a good thing.

Maybe the Saudis are abiding there time for the right moment to drive home the sword to the hilt. Arabs do like to take out revenge against insults. Trump has opened up a can of worms and the US will regret it. Saudis may also cancel their orders and buy from Russia and China instead.

To my mind these facts do little more than confirm Trump’s barely-hidden lunacy.

He really does not make any sense at all.

Look at the way his immense, unquenchable ego grabs every opportunity to congratulate itself. He has the King saying on the telephone:

“And he said ‘but why would you be calling me, nobody has ever made such a call before.’”

In other words, only Trump dares these things, folks.

    He’s sick, just sick.

no doubts about….. reminds me of documentary made of Mussolini…… same bragging….. same gestures… . same hot air…..
The Trumpet and his audience/voters are sick….. the remaining other half of the political strata in the US is not any better…..

“….. the United States of Hypocrisy …” at its best

The only to make such a call while in the real world he’s done everything they’ve asked of him in regards to Yemen, Qatar, Libya, Iran…

they got what they deserve…… humiliation and loss of face…..
on the other hand…. the empire is cutting the branch it sits on…. what a wonderful combination….. the Trumpet of Trumpistan is entertaining his “degenerated American ignorants” with simple phrases and wordings like in a late night show …. the audience is laughing their a*s off while not comprehending the serious implications and political impacts in the ME. .. nothing is more dangerous, when idiots are of the same opinion….

Good point, the audience eating this up not comprehending what it means, truly ads a whole nother layer of irony to it.

Trump is trying to abet perhaps two constituencies. The facts remain most global oil sales are in petrodollars and the US is a beneficiary of stolen Yemen oil production.

Until the latter changes and the US military pulls out of Yemen, I consider this publicity stunt an act countenanced by Saudi head M(BS).
