Kurds Stone the Hell Out of a Russian-Turkish Patrol in Northern Syria

The Russian and Syrian soldiers were welcomed when they first entered Kobani last month in the wake of a US withdrawal that served up the local Kurds to Erdogan and the invading Turkish military.

However the joint Russian-Turkish patrols that Moscow has signed under to appease Erdogan and help limit a wider Turkish offensive have seemingly dented the Russians’ popularity:

The locals damage the lead Russian vehicle and climb atop it but the MPs remain calm:

Untainted by cooperation with the Turks, could the the Syrian army become seen by the Kurds as their main protector (aside from their own YPG), ahead of the Russians?

For the record, this is the first time Kobani Kurds would have had to suffer Turkish vehicles passing through their settlements. While Pentagon had agreed to similar US-Turkish patrols, these had not yet expanded to this specific sub-region before the US withdrew from the border entirely.

I want to remind that “the Kurds” are not a monolithic bloc. So, there could be differences between different groups of Kurds.

There is an very old saying “Ye are judged by the company you keep”…
OF COURSE the Russians are going to “get it” from the “Kurds”, this is hardly a surprise, as the Kurds hatred for the Turks far out weighs any feelings towards the Russians. Although that could change very quickly…with the Russians becoming thought of as something similar to the Turks… Times are strange indeed.

I found this sentence to be VERY interesting… as part of a Geo-political (possible) Psychological Operation….
“Untainted by cooperation with the Turks, could the Syrian army become seen by the Kurds as their main protector (aside from their own YPG), ahead of the Russians?”
    Very interesting indeed.
I was curious as to how the ‘Kurds” were going to respond to this Ru-Turk Agreement…It would seem, at least in Kobani.
That said I NEVER view these snip-it videos with ANY significance… they mean nothing in this Orwellian/Disney/False World without any background or references or SOMEONE with some decent credentials providing some context.
Might be Kurds in the Northeast- might not.
I look forward to more information in this regard. For it takes years to gain a decent/good reputation and only ONE action to destroy it all.

Difficult thing – when you help wisely like Putin does you will not get understood cause most people do not have the necessary understanding at all – tricky thing
