Miami Mayor Says the US Should Consider Bombing Cuba

What America does "best"

In the wake of anti-government demonstrations in Cuba, many US officials are calling for Washington to intervene. The mayor of Miami has gone as far to suggest that the US should consider bombing Cuba.

In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, Mayor Francis Suarez argued in favor of US military intervention and listed examples of previous US wars that involved airstrikes. When asked if he is suggesting that the US bomb Cuba, Suarez said, “What I’m suggesting is that option is one that has to be explored and cannot be just simply discarded as an option that is not on the table.”

“And there’s a variety of ways the military can do it. But that’s something that needs to be discussed and needs to be looked as a potential option in addition to a variety of other options that can be discussed,” he added.

In a separate interview with Fox Business News on Tuesday, Suarez again argued for US military intervention. “The US has intervened in Latin America in numerous occasions and has been very successful,” he said. Echoing the Cold War, Suarez said Cuba is a threat to the US because it is “exporting communism throughout the hemisphere.”

Luckily, it doesn’t appear that the Biden administration has any plans to invade or bomb Cuba. The State Department said Tuesday that it is looking at ways to “support” the Cuban people but is downplaying the impact of the decades-old US embargo on Cuba.

Politico:

Suarez is a Cuban Republican, but he doesn’t match some of the usual headlines surrounding Cuban American voters. For one, he didn’t vote for Trump in the 2020 election. He doesn’t have a great relationship with DeSantis, either, and has criticized him openly and done little to support him politically. He even voted for DeSantis’ 2018 Democratic opponent, Andrew Gillum.

Some kind of imported DiBlasio clone…short on humanity & brains…long on destruction, torture and uncalled-for interference.

What can you say? He is obviously a power hungry idiotic manifestation of everything that’s wrong in America, but worse, what does that say about the electorate? (lol)

Another dual citizen, albeit from a different tribe, stirring the pot for war.

Mayor Suarez’ parents were likely wealthy Cubans who had to flee Castro.

A large country, armed to the teeth, in which unilaterally invading and bombing the life out of any other arbitrarily selected country is considered to be normal and acceptable behaviour by the political class, and which is displayed across the entirety of America’s short history, is a problem for the civilised world.

At some point, the rest of the world will have to find a way to remove this problem.

If the US had EVER planned to invade Cuba, they could’ve done it through Guantanamo Base. It’s all a farce, unluckily for the enslaved cuban people.

His parents and relatives were likely wealthy Cubans who had to flee Castro because they supported Batista.

Most people know about the Cuban “boatlift” immigrants from the 1980’s. But the Cuban immigrants already here in Miami before that were Wealthy Cubans who had to flee Castro or they would lose their money and likely their lives. This group has always hated Castro. Miami’s Mayor is just being a mouthpiece for them.

They could start by stopping the subsidies that keep the cuban slave masters in power. They could’ve NOT put the Castro mafia family in power. So many coulda, shoulda… now bombing Cuba? just adding more suffering to those enslaved people, give me a break.

But but according to the WEF, Cuba is quite an example of “sustainable government”. Shudders. Hope we get to make “raft spaceships” when/if they implement that kind of “wonder” over all the planet.

got a great idea. why don’t all the cuban’s in miami go back to cuba and fight for their freedom. how’s that sound.

I say it would be better to bomb Miami?

    1. Veteran says

I do not blame them one iota for hating Castro but the Miami Cuban politicos are an assembly line of self serving corrupt cowards who would run if needed to help in an invasion of Cuba .

They are truly political parasites on their own people , they are punks .

I do think plenty of Cubans in Miami would rise to their cause but not ONE of their con artist politicians would .

They would probably look to rob their homes while they fought in Cuba .

Fly the mayor of Miami over to Cuba and drop him into the center of Havana so that he can tell Raul Castro personally that he thinks that the US should bomb Cuba. Buildings in his city are collapsing but he still doesn’t seem to have enough to do. He needs to to be voted out in the next election.

Yet if the USA needed just one more soldier / fighter to turn the tide Suarez would run to Canada .

He is another all talk Miami punk , unlike the Bay of Pigs men.
