The Weakest, Most Hyped Up Plague Ever Couldn’t Even Kill a 101-Year Old Man

[A] 101-year-old man was released from hospital after recovering from the coronavirus, Gloria Lisi, the deputy mayor of the Italian city of Rimini, has said.

The man, who has been named only as “Mr. P,” was admitted to hospital in Rimini, northeast Italy, last week after testing positive for Covid-19 and left the hospital on Thursday. [Short stay may indicate he didn’t even require any special medical assistance.]

Lisi said his “truly extraordinary” recovery gave “hope for the future.” [What’s extraordinary about beating a glorified common cold?]

“Mr. P made it. The family brought him home yesterday evening. To teach us that even at 101 years the future is not written,” she said.

Mr. P was born in 1919, during the Spanish flu pandemic, which is estimated to have killed between 30 million and 50 million people worldwide.

    A very poor item.

Apart from a number of other considerations, a single anecdote like this has no meaning in science.

    None, at all.

  • Leandro Augusto Pesce

Yeah, you great piece of shit. Over 10 000 deaths in Italy by a common flu. I really would like you to catch it.

    • Ulricht

In what physical condition were most of that 10k?
Look around anywhere in the western world today and what do you see? Obesity, diabetes, heart disease etc. Most old people think they’re in good health but they are not, they are medicated for multiple complaints that reflect their crap lifestyle of little or no exercise, crap food, crap air and more than likely, depression.
The virus knocks them out easily because their immune system has no fight in it.
So it’s like this, shit happens.

Are you implying Italian food is crap ????? I surely hope not.

        • Ulricht

Yes actually I would say Italian food is not ideal. It is oily, fatty, meaty and a definite contributor to obesity, heart disease and stroke. It’s yummy though.

    • glib1

50000 died of the flu in Italy during winter 2014-2015. Google is your friend.

      • itchyvet

Sadly, some folks seem to scared to use it.

Thanks for the info as it gives me more insight for what to watch for later.

This man most likely did not have any underlying condition(s) to speed him on his way to death. The important thing here is that not everyone dies of this covid19 that is a molehill made into a mountain by the pols. Virus is virus.. and the
numbers remain the same: 0.01% death rate….according to many virologist’s reports and talks. Remember too, the Spanish flu of 1918 began in the US….very suspicious beginnings to current one….. just saying.

    • prodigal son

He just wasn’t in the ten percent of people who would die of it that are his age. Fauci says we’re looking at 100,000 dead. I don’t have any reason to disbelieve him.

  • AAARRRGH

There’s always one jackwagon who’s gotta skew the numbers.
I bet this guy has been a pain in the ass his whole life!

    • itchyvet

Have you ever considered that surviving the Spanish Flu set this guy up to beat anything similar in his future ? If it were me, I’d be begging for some of his blood to study and see why he survived this easily. That is IF he even had Corona in the first place.

      • AAARRRGH

        Don’t mind me, I’m just jealous. 😉
Good for him though, if he’s still enjoying life.

  • No-Name

Some are more fortunate than others. However, the virus is very real.
