Hi Marko,
Since this site rightfully denounces the petrodollar and the monopoly status thereof, why are donations being quoted in US dollars anyway? (Accepting them alongside euros, pounds and Canadian and Australian dollars is another matter.) And if you could, what other currency would you use to quote donation amounts?
It makes for an easy comparison to what the Pentagon and DC think-tanks are getting.

Makes sense. Way back then I was thinking it could instead be done in euros or something, but okay.

Since the vast majority of dollars never sees paper or ink, most of the recipients receive the Fed’s version of cryptocurrency, entries in electronic ledger sheets.
With the Fed’s Secondary Market Credit Facility buying corporate bonds with few other buyers, it becomes the lender of last resort for the stock markets.

The greenback was long gone before any of us were born, having been created by Lincoln to pay off the “civil war” debt. It was never anything but temporary counterfeit, and certainly was not anyones reserve currency.

Even so, ‘greenback’ is still sometimes used as slang for the US dollar itself. I think that’s what ‘All_has_An _END_.’ is thinking about.

It is similar to the way that n***** is used as slang for a black person.
Ignorance is the very worst reason to use slang.

Even then, ‘greenback’ still remains as a slang term for the US dollar itself.
