Russiagate Chickens Come Home to Roost for Sanders
Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas
Sanders helped fuel the elite Russiagate conspiracy theory (and still is, in fact), now the power elite is using it against him:
As predicted, they are now using Russiagate to sink Bernie, which is why it was always horrible strategy for Bernie to validate it instead of debunking it. Even in this clip he props up bogus CIA talking points WHILE ACKNOWLEDGING that they are weaponizing it against him. WTF?!? https://t.co/DtJiMFKJGu

Poetic justice for Sanders as the same power elite which is unfairly interfering in the elections against him gets to accuse him of being the beneficiary of such interference — and it was Sanders who helped make it all possible!
Meanwhile, Sanders isn’t even standing up for his supporters:
Sanders’s opponents have blamed some of his most vocal online supporters for injecting toxic rhetoric into the primaries. At a Democratic candidates debate Wednesday in Las Vegas, Sanders indirectly blamed Russia, saying it was possible that malign actors were trying to manipulate social media to inflame divisions among Democrats.
“All of us remember 2016, and what we remember is efforts by Russians and others to try to interfere in our elections and divide us up,” Sanders said. “I’m not saying that’s happening, but it would not shock me.”
He’s marginally better on foreign policy than the rest of the Democrat pack (minus Tulsi), but when he’s willing to say that a part of his supporters are really Russian agents provocateur, what is that worth? It’s hard to believe he’ll stand up for a somewhat better policy on Venezuela or Yemen when he won’t even stand up for the Bernie Bros.
Sanders on why the story of the briefing from the intelligence community he received a month ago came out today:

If true why wasn't this quietly told Sanders campaign instead of winding up in WP in what appears to be US intel meddling in domestic affairs https://t.co/CwrDRLYpah

First, congrats to everyone who spread this shitty, warmed-over Cold War Kremlin paranoia so as to allow the likes of Mike Bloomberg (and the CIA) to predictably weaponize it against Sanders.
Second, it seems Bloomberg’s campaign thinks Russia is still socialist: https://t.co/T5aDVjonja

So, so, what else would you expect from 2 of the worst, worst propaganda sites in jusa?.WaPo, CNN!!! In my feeble mind, both of them ought to be sued out of biz., the sooner the better…
NO real evidence of Russian interference in US elections has ever been produced – noting but innuendo, repeated thousands of times. The last 80+ years of anti-Soviet (Russian) hate mongering takes care of the rest.
Guess F**king What??? There ain’t no Soviet Union any more. The Rothschild-Bilderberg no longer controls Russia. It now controls the US of ZioNaziMuriKa.
There is nothing that says that Russia can’t express its opinion. There’s nothing that says that Russia can’t reciprocate the many decades of hate propaganda with which the US has pummeled them.
And, it’s sure as Hell that Washington’s “conspiracy theory” is reality to the rest of the world.
Bernie = same warmed over BS and stupidity as the rest, just with a different ideological label.
sheepdog for killary, now a sheepdog again for the deep state
sad old idiot
precisely
Childish comment.
It doesn’t excuse Bernie, but here is a plausible explanation of what is going on.
It makes sense because the establishment is desperate to sabotage Sanders.
We have Buttigieg’s highly artificial-feeling candidacy. He came out of nowhere.
We have Bloomberg, a seriously connected man, muscling in, as though he were on a “mission for God”, and he has said really unpleasant things about Sanders in the past.
And we Hillary Clinton making nasty public remarks about Sanders, unprecedented for someone in her own party.

Again, the fact that this infantile stuff can keep being recycled by American politicians and the press and intelligence agencies is a reflection on the American public, its values and understanding. It is for me, by far, the biggest thing highlighted in these events.
It was dumb of Bernie to buy into the BS. However, if he didn’t, it could tend to make him a Trump “bro” and “soft on Russia” in the eyes of many Dems. “Ya gotta hate Russia to be a real ‘Murican” doesn’t apply only to Republican knuckle-draggers. Lots of Democrats have the same delusion.
I’m sorry Bernie has said that, but it so easy to understand why.
He himself is under attack from several forces.
The need to apologize for what his supporters may have done sees him reaching for that ever-present, ever-credible (in America) Russian explanation.
It’s sad, but that is the tone of the whole damned country. The Democrats and the intelligence agencies wouldn’t keep using the line otherwise.
The Republicans too would turn to this cheap line when they felt the need. They have a long record of Russophobia in the past. It is only the fact that it would now, post-Hillary, be associated automatically by the public with their man Trump.
Indeed, I wonder he didn’t consider “malign actors” closer to home – people working for Bloomberg or Buttigieg, and especially Bloomberg, whom we now know is on a “mission from God” to sabotage Bernie’s chances.
Still, Bernie’s the best on offer. Living in a country of the blind, a one-eyed man is king.
See this on Bloomberg I’ve just posted:
https://chuckmanwordsincomments.wordpress.com/2020/02/21/john-chuckman-comment-more-about-michael-bloomberg-what-he-appears-actually-to-be-doing-as-a-democratic-candidate-he-used-to-be-a-republican-and-the-dark-stuff-being-turned-up-about-him/
And this on the threadbare Russian excuse:

And this on Sanders:

Americans are always the “Victims”..Democracy is so “Fragile” in the US.Bernie has seen “Tweets” that Russia tries to divide Americans.I was going to say “Almost” but it is really Laughable.
Just to reaffirm my (sad) point about the American public and Russia, here’s Hillary right after the intelligence briefing. It too resembles satire, but she isn’t using lines that do not work, not this old pro at manipulation.
Hillary Clinton
@HillaryClinton
Putin’s Puppet is at it again, taking Russian help for himself.
He knows he can’t win without it. And we can’t let it happen.
the saddest part is that the voters really DO PREFER Sanders over everyone else being forcibly shoved down their throats. Seems th American voters ARE finally waking up after their long decades of stupor, seeing how they have been played for so long and they really do want Socialism. But they aint getting none.
