Poland Holds Giant Concert With Lou Bega and Captain Jack for Troops on the Belarusian Border

All the one-hit wonders of the 1990s

Las Ketchup backed out saying it did not want to participate in a political event

Editor’s note: Yes, I Would say the Belarus-Poland (EU) thing is a sideshow. The real deal is the Russia-NATO showdown. (Hopefully, it stays a diplomatic one.)

The concert, which took place at the 23rd Tactical Air Base in Mińsk Mazowiecki, was attended by Polish stage stars: Edyta Górniak, Jan Pietrzak, Halina Frąckowiak, Viki Gabor, Rafał Brzozowski and Elwira Mejk with the troubadours.

Foreign stars were also on the stage: Oceana, Loona, Jenny Berggren, Captain Jack, In-Grid, No Mercy and Lou Bega.

The first concert of its kind in history – at an air force base of the Polish army – as a solidarity and homage to the soldiers, officers and policemen who guard the eastern border, was followed by 3.5 million viewers on TVP1 and Polonia! Thank you, “wrote Jacek Kurski on Facebook.

Lou Bega thanked the troops for defending the border of the European Union, and chanted in Polish “Firefighters!” and “Police!”.
