‘Losin Spectacularly’: US Net Exports Are in a Tailspin Under Trump

Trade deficit at record highs and growing

U.S. net exports of goods and services are in a tailspin and Trump Trade Wars have been anything but ‘winning’ for American exporters. You can read about the effects of Trade Wars on corporate revenues and earnings here: Fed rate cut won’t move the needle on ‘Losing Globally’ Trade Wars impacts. And you can see the trends in net exports here:

This clearly shows that ‘Winning Bigly’ is really, materially, about ‘Losin Spectacularly’. Tremendous stuff!

It truly is tremendous stuff! It is showing how ignorant and delusional the Americans are in their fight to remain relevant….that time is over, fellas! You can take all your 800+ military bases and your aircraft carriers and try to do some manufacturing in your own country and not give away jobs to foreign countries…that isn’t the way to build a strong America! Your trade plan is ruining your own country you fools!

That is one amazing negative slide. And US wants to drag this till election? Ouch. When the world is broken, it is not so easy to fix. I hope the bankrupt expert knows that,

If one reads the president’s Friday tweets regarding the US-North Korea relationship, you almost sense a disarmament- for-dollars deal is being discussed.

Similar discussions between North Korea’s Mr. Kim and Messrs. Putin and Xinping have probably occurred, though the USD likely wasn’t mentioned in an assumed or proposed tender offer.

I think Mr. Kim will disarm his stockpile in time, but not before Russian and Chinese arsenals replace them.

It’s unfortunate that the INF Treaty that affected only Russia and the USA ended today.

The US economy has never been reliant on a trade surplus. It’s strength was growth in domestic employment, productivity (innovation), wages and purchasing.

      what a waste.
      importing more than producing.
all those jobs that could have been.

That’s right….and it is all by design….but for what reason we wonder??
Are the US manufacturers so ignorant that they don’t know how to export? I don’t think so…the puppeteers who run the white house, (no matter who resides there), control what goes on….and if they wanted the US to be profitable and involved honestly in world trade, that would happen….
but the US continues to shun the rest of the world, indeed, attack it with its sanctions and tariffs (against its own allies)….it does make one wonder who and why!

What is the dominant social philosophy of this world?
Is it an elite layer that dominates a drone layer?
For example, the EU made up of feudal member states has created a multi-member feudal state with its commision, it’s ruling body, being created by the elite of each member state. How can a member state call itself democratic when it must adhere to the dictates of a controlling body, the EU?

For example, the Electoral College in the U.S.

For example, dictatorships too numerous to mention.

Who profits by creating a drone layer in the U.S.? A country once known for its individual freedoms, innovations, creativity, etc.

How is this drone layer created? Unlimited credit, unlimited consumerism, unlimited drug-use, poisoned food and water, unlimited distraction from important issues (for example: pitting one race against another, 7 genders, political performances, pedowood blockbusters, MSM, addiction to F*book, Twatter etc), useless educational programs, curtailed freedom of movement (Patriot Acts, TSA)

          …just thinking out loud.

        Exactly..

After WW2 in 1945 the US was the largest creditor nation in the world. Now it is the world’s largest debtor nation.

    3. Mary E says

Well, that’s not happening either! The unemployment numbers are skewed in favor of the administration by including part time workers…Even if you work 4 hours a day, you are employed!! That just doesn’t cut it in the real world…

      1. Natural_Texan says

Agree completely. Wasn’t supporting Trump or his policies.

Trump is good at running companies into the ground and bankruptcies.

He has a lot of experience bankrupting companies.

It would be easy to chock it up to US-China trade relations. A more widespread assessment includes uncontrolled US spending without important sovereign gold stores; sanctions or threats of them on friends and enemies; US technological decline; conspicuous regime change efforts.

Put another way, the world despises the Five Eyes plus Israel.

  8. CHUCKMAN says

    Tremendous stuff indeed.

That’s the lovely job-creating effects of Trump and his “maximum pressure” tactics in the world.

And of course, his every supporter is paying those tariffs with every visit to Walmart and Costco.

And the stock market is very unhappy.

And desperately, interest rates are being dropped again.

America is literally walking blindly into disaster with this bully who understands nothing about economics or trade.

    Or diplomacy.

But you see the blinding effects of American exceptionalism here, on Trump and his supporters. “But we are the best. We must be doing better. Our flag-hugging leader says we are.”

Those are the sounds as America heads for the dumpster and trails much of the world along behind it.

    1. Mary E says

With the exception of Russia,China and Iran! Those countries will survive because they have dumped the $USD!! and are following a strong economic path called the BELT AND ROAD… –

    2. PK says

Agree. The problem is more insidious because the US team dont seem keen to settle for a deal. There is suspicion they intend to drag till elections and to exploit an anti-China platform. So the drama now is a dog and pony show. The Chinese seems to know based on the unreasonable demands and changes, and so they just play along and not concede… in other words Trump don’t care too much about impact on people or the world. sad ..
