“I Just Feel So Lucky to Be Alive Right Now.” Jane Fonda Says COVID-19 Is “God’s Gift to the Left”

Actress and activist Jane Fonda said during an online event last week that the coronavirus was “God’s gift to the left.” She made the remark while expressing how the virus has opened people’s eyes to what she said was President Donald Trump’s true character.
Fonda’s remarks came during a conversation she had with Maurice Mitchell, the national director of the Working Families Party, a political party that describes it’s as fighting “for workers over bosses and people over the powerful.”
During her very last question of the interview, Mitchell asked Fonda for her opinion on the “concept of maybe a political realignment, a social realignment, and the ending dying of this patriarchal system and possibly the beginning of something regenerative.”
“I just feel so lucky to be alive right now,” Fonda responded. “Aren’t we all so lucky to be alive in a moment when the decisions we make can make the difference between hundreds of millions of people living or dying?”
She added that half of a degree change in the weather can kill millions of people. People we can stop that from happening, she said and declared that the world is at an existential crossroads and voting can decide what happens to humanity.
“I just think COVID is God’s gift to the left,” Fonda remarked with a chuckle. “It’s a terrible thing to say, I mean, I think it was a very difficult thing to send down to us, but it has ripped the bandaid off who [Trump] is and what he stands for and what is being done to average working people in this country.”
Trump has been scrutinized for his administration’s response to the virus that has infected more than 7.6 million people in the U.S., including himself, and killed more than 211,000, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
“We can see it now. People who couldn’t see it before,” the Academy Award winning actress said. “You know, they see it now. We have a chance to harness that anger and make a difference. So, I’m just so blessed to be alive right now.”
Throughout the hour and a half long conversation, the pair discussed how to encourage everyday people to get out and vote and its importance.
Fonda has been an activist for most of her life. Her most recent feat included standing on the U.S. Capitol steps and getting arrested every Friday in January 2020 to protest climate change.

Fonda is crazy. The climate is cooling, and the left democrats will cool it more, for no reason then to do what computer models say. With that saying we all go straight to the middle ages. She’ll have a lot of fun.

I was carrying dead Americans back to base while she was there. I agreed with her that we should not have been there but she needed to take her grievances to Washington, not Hanoi. But just like today, the Left attacks the military lower ranks, not Washington.

The famous photo of Jane appearing to aim an Hanoi AA gun against U.S. bombers ranks as the best pic ever of an American woman. Before we get into Jane’s latest reported crack about the juflu, alias “COVID-19”, will anyone be kind enough to give us the time stamp on that? If the attribution prove valid, then Jane has swung and missed on the plague issue. Essentially the same hand that last Winter launched The Bug also shot down Abe Lincoln, Huey Long and pulled off the Dallas Jack Whack, that all-time biggest kosher coup d’etat. ke4ram, I beg to differ. I too am a Vet (69-70) but I agree 100% with Fonda’s comments. You direct your anger at the wrong place, it was not the North Vietnamese who bombed America, nor was it they who, who invaded America and declared war upon your citizens. Need I point out it was the U.S. who did all that to an INNOCENT nation, who have/had the legitimate RIGHT to defend themselves. I’d put money down, if it was the U.S. in similar plight as the Vietnamese at the time, you’d be all for blowing invaders away. Well mate, sad news for you and every American today, other nations have exactly the same right as your nation has to defend themselves against outside aggression. You say she should have taken her grieviences to Washington, L.O.L. as if you believe, Washington would even give her the time of day, which is a joke. She did what she believed was neccessary to obtain a result, and divert attention to the issue. It worked far better than she could have expected. How many Americans, would be prepared today, to stand up publicly and voice their opposition to Washington’s policies, ensuring Washington’s wrath be focused upon them in return ? In today’s World, she’d be taken out, or disappeared. (Assange comes to mind) Where is the peace movement today ? Why has it evaporated ? Does this mean 100% of Americans are happy to wage war on innocent people’s all over the World and incurr the Worlds disgust ?
