Hungary to Veto Possible EU Sanctions Against Bosnian Serb Leader — Foreign Minister

Being pushed by the German green neocons

Hungary will veto a possible proposal for the European Union to impose sanctions on BiH tripartite Presidency member Milorad Dodik, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said, according to the SRNA news agency.

Szijjarto stated that the EU can impose sanctions only with a unanimous decision of the member states, but that it must be clear to everyone that Hungary will not support any sanctions against Dodik.

He noted that German Foreign Affairs Minister, Annalena Baerbock, recently requested the introduction of sanctions against Dodik.

The move is seen as a step towards independence from Bosnia and Herzegovina – a move the leaders of the semi-autonomous RS entity have announced many times, primarily Dodik. [Only as a last resort to redress the unilateral and illegal steamrolling of the 1995 peace treaty by the EU Reichskommissars.]

“We are worried about such statements because BiH is close to us. Preserving stability and peace in the country is our basic security interest. Berlin is further, but not so far that you could never fly to Banja Luka from there,” Szijjarto wrote on Facebook, urging German officials to talk to Bosnian Serb representatives.

“Talk to Serbs. With them, not about them. Maybe this will help you understand the situation,” he wrote.

Germany renews call to sanction Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik

Germany’s new foreign minister and Green party co-leader Annalena Baerbock has called for sanctions to be applied to Republika Srpska leader Milorad Dodik after she participated in her first EU Foreign Affairs Council on Monday.

“Efforts to break away are unacceptable, and this means, too – and I have lobbied for this here – that the existing sanctions regime should also be used against Mr. Dodik now,” Baerbock told reporters after meeting her EU counterparts in Brussels.

In a certain sense Bosnia is more in the EU than anyone else. Brussels has greater formal powers in Bosnia (totally illegal of course) than anywhere in the EU. It is a microcosm of what direct Brussels dictatorship would mean for the rest of Europe.

Dodik leavesTuzla and Srebrenica to Bosnia and he can have his little sandbox. Kosovo also can be independent in the same manner.
