ROSTOV-ON-DON, March 23. /TASS/. All types of planned medical care, as well as professional examinations and medical examinations, will be carried out in the Rostov region in full from March 24. The corresponding changes were approved by the governor Vasily Golubev, the press service of the heads of the region reported.

Since March 10, the Rostov region has canceled the requirement to present QR codes for admission to public places and organizations, the need to maintain social distance. Most other restrictions have also been lifted, including on the occupancy of fitness clubs, gyms, swimming pools, water parks and ice rinks.

“The ongoing stabilization of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Rostov region has made it possible to make a number of decisions to lift the sanitary restrictions in force in the Don region. The new rules will come into force on March 24. In particular, medical care is being resumed in full – with 100% bed capacity hospitals,” the message says, clarifying that before this, medical facilities could only fill half the beds.

Also, it is now allowed to resume medical preventive examinations and medical examinations of citizens in full. In addition, children’s tent camps will be able to resume work, and children’s health resorts are no longer prohibited from accepting children from outside the Rostov region for rehabilitation. Restrictions in this area have been in effect since June 1 last year.

Another clarification concerns the obligation to observe self-isolation [lockdown] for the elderly and citizens with chronic diseases – this norm has now been replaced with a recommendation, the press service added.

According to the latest data, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in the Rostov region increased to 356,528, 337,457 people recovered, 10,675 died. Restrictions were introduced in the region to contain the spread of coronavirus, as well as mandatory vaccination for a number of categories of citizens, including people over 60 years.
