DeSantis Offers Cops Kicked Out by Vaccine Taliban a Job and a $5,000 Bonus to Move to Florida

COVID Rouge heads explode

Police officers across the country were among the first to become eligible to receive the coronavirus vaccine, but some are still declining the shots, leaving them clashing with city leaders as immunization mandates go into effect.

In Chicago, days before police officers were due to report their vaccination status following a citywide mandate, the head of its police union urged officers to ignore the deadline and “hold the line.” Thousands of Los Angeles Police Department employees say they’ll seek vaccine exemptions after police officials filed a federal lawsuit against the city over vaccination and mask mandates.

At least 150 officers, the Massachusetts police union recently reported, have resigned or submitted paperwork to do so over that state’s immunization requirements. And last week, the president of New York City’s largest police union said it plans to sue Mayor Bill de Blasio for requiring all city employees to get their first vaccine doses before Nov. 1.

But there is one state willing to take in unvaccinated law enforcement personnel who are terminated if they choose not to get immunized: Florida.

On Sunday, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis announced plans to offer unvaccinated officers $5,000 bonuses to relocate to his state and join the police force.

“We’re actually actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement, because we do have needs in our police and our sheriff’s departments,” DeSantis said during an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo.

DeSantis, who told Bartiromo he hopes to sign such a bill in the next legislative session, urged officers in New York, Minneapolis and Seattle to relocate to Florida if their departments do not offer accommodations to those declining the coronavirus vaccine. A spokeswoman with the governor’s office did not immediately respond to a message from The Washington Post late Sunday.

“If you’re not being treated well, we’ll treat you better here,” DeSantis said on Sunday. “You can fill important needs for us, and we’ll compensate you as a result.”

DeSantis has opposed vaccine and mask mandates throughout the pandemic. He banned Florida school districts from requiring students to wear masks and last week called for a special legislative session in Florida to block federal vaccine requirements.

“Nobody should lose their job based off these injections,” DeSantis said on Sunday.

Living in Florida I can attest we have plenty of cops. More cops we don’t need. Now good nurses and doctors,,, YES! Why he picked cops I can only guess he, like other politicians, like plenty of protection. That slogan on their cars “To Serve and Protect” is true…. They serve and protect the politicians. Don’t believe that,,, look at Australia. Are those cops serving and protecting the People? Same the world round where cops are beating the shit out of “the People” that do not obey “Rules” dished out by demented politicians. Have you seen the digital police dog? Most cops are the human version.

I think Desantis has done a good job at holding off the ‘real slime’. The ‘real slime’ I refer to is the local power lunatic commies like those that exist in South Florida and many other parts of what was once a free USA. These people have no respect for the constitution,,,state or federal,,, or the law. They despise individuals, freedom and liberty. These local lunatics are as dangerous or more dangerous than the lunatics at the federal level.

What I do not like is having to depend on one politician to keep the fanatics at bay because the sheeple just bray when some lunatic starts abusing them.

As for taxes Desantis is the usual political type. They just passed a ‘property tax’ called “Childrens Trust”, a complete rip off like all other services to “help children”. What it does is give money to a group that chooses who gets the money and where the money is spent. This always results in criminal doings.

To prove our system is now a mobocracy,,, most people that voted for the ‘property tax’ did not own property and would not have to pay the tax which will likely increase year after year. Yes, they may have to pay a little more in rent but it’s the home owners that will be the backbone of the tax.

I am so tired of my friendly smiling neighbors voting to rob each other and me. If they feel the need to help someone then no one is preventing them from donating their money.

Which is one of the many reasons why I say….

The best government is no government.

Agree completely. Government exists because the use of ‘might makes right’, the primary force of the animal world, and gives the same result: red in tooth and claw.

      1. ken says

Government uses might derived from the People it supposedly protects.

It generates no wealth,,, robs from the People to make transfer payments, pay for the military and police to use as it damn well pleases,,, regulate business out of business,,, ignores any charter or constitution,,, treat People like wholly owned chattel,,, turn people against each other by making protected classes,,, start unnecessary wars that have potential to destroy the nation and kill thousands/millions while enriching those making the tools of war,,,hire hundreds of thousands/millions of unproductive parasites that spend their days coming up with more ways to rob you of money, peace and liberty.

Why any non psycho would ‘want’ all that is a mystery to me.

Small-minded people feel important when they are a member of an important mob. You know, like the democrats and republicans.

I consider myself a panarchist of the anarchist type.

Perhaps government workers should be screened for pathological liars.

Just seen from far away, and so loving America, bless you all, I like Ron De Santis. He seems quite pure. Maybe I am mistaken. It’s all kind of contaminated now. I don’t know what to believe in and trust. I don’t know

The cops resisting the mandates are likely to be the more intelligent ones capable of thinking for themselves.
That should help the blue primate exhibits masquerading as cities collapse even faster.

De Santis is a hero for standing up to the public-health quacks and the heavy hand of national transformation. I agree Florida probably has enough cops already, but his gesture will certainly get a lot of people thinking, and I would be surprised if it does not move a lot of medical professionals to consider applying for work in Florida.

De Santis should watch his ass, though, because the US government would not think twice about dropping him and then blaming it on some vaccine groupie. The US government cannot afford to let him come out looking like a contrarian saint.

Riccardo Bosi of Australiia said it just fine. Let them pee on the electric and then they’ll know. Just somewhat boring to wait till they do
