Adviser to the Supreme Leader Urges Iran to Seize a British Ship in the Hormuz

Iran should seize a British oil tanker if an Iranian tanker detained off Gibraltar earlier this week is not released immediately, two influential Iranian figures said in tweets on Friday.

British Royal Marines seized the supertanker Grace 1 on Thursday for trying to take oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions, a dramatic step that drew Tehran’s fury and could escalate its confrontation with the West.

“If Britain does not release the Iranian oil tanker, it is the authorities duty to seize a British oil tanker,” said Revolutionary Guards Major General Mohsen Rezaee, who is also secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, a powerful state body.

“Islamic Iran in its 40-year history has never initiated hostilities in any battles but has also never hesitated in responding to bullies,” Rezaee said on his Twitter account.

Rezaee has in the past also suggested taking American servicemen hostage in the Persian Gulf and demanding money for their release.

Another influential Iranian figure who was in the nuclear negotiating team, Mahdi Mohammadi also threatened British ships on Twitter.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said on Thursday that the Iranian oil tanker was carrying crude oil from Iran, according to the state news agency IRNA.

The Grace 1 was impounded off Gibraltar, a British territory on the southern tip of Spain, after sailing around Africa, the long route from the Middle East to the mouth of the Mediterranean.

While the European Union has banned oil shipments to war-torn Syria, a close ally of Iran, since 2011, it had never seized a tanker at sea. Unlike the United States, Europe does not have broad sanctions against Iran.

“American’s don’t even understand what a stupid thing they did when they overthrew Saddam Hussein. Iraq is 60% Shia. You talked about Arabs in Iraq-the Shia, they’re Shia. In the South of Iran, there are Arabs who are Shia. And there are Arabs who are Shia and live in Iraq. And in Saudi Arabia, the area where the oil is developed is controlled by the Shia. And the majority of Kuwait’s population is Shia. 80 percent of Bahrain’s population is Shia. Then, such a big fire will start in the Middle East”

I have visions of Saudi oil production being nearly destroyed. While the intent is regime change with a minimum of heavy lifting, I suspect Shia entities within the Middle East will begin taking action, if they haven’t already started.

We all must know that the Brits are illegally waging a war in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.

Thesey are the perpetrators who are killing wilfully Yemeni women, children, elderly and thereby also destroying on purpose what is left of the country.

And than these creeps are suddenly talking to Iran “about not keeping to the rule of the ILLEGAL SANCTIONS against Iran and Syria. What a heinous people so to say. Hypocrite Brits.

The situation is getting Muy caliente Is that why the Brits Marines were sent in the area a few weeks ago. Was the piracy pre-orchestrated to push Iran into piracy too? Will the west turn this into a false flag?

The Brits have no scruples to interfere in USA’s internal affairs to try to “head-chop” America of its democratically elected President Trump.

The Brits wanted to put Killary on the throne. They failed and are frustrated they failed.

    2. DarkEyes says

Good chances it is a provocative step.
The Brits have always been good in making trouble.

And may I remind us Mrs. May is acting PM hates Mr. Putin (for what?) and this can be one of her last dirty actions (Skripal) to change the Middle East into an entire mess British style.

Like they did by starting Ratschild’s WW I.

Will Britain provide the spark or casus belli that ignites a conflict Washington couldn’t or hasn’t yet accomplished?

Difficult to tell who could be worse as the next British PM, Hunt or Johnson.

KISS, both are equal acting offensively towards peaceful nations and their people. That is hallmarking their dream of a “British Empire”.

If Iran decides to apprehend a UK ship in the Strait then that will most likely start the collapse of the global monetary system and oil prices will be exceptionally high which is what the US want; a global conflict which will cancel out their $21tr debt.

  12. David Bedford says

Donald Trump just wants to negotiate a deal that would disarm Iran from both nuclear weapons and missiles so when Israel starts a war with them they will be a toothless tiger, America cannot be trusted though because they tore up a deal that already stopped Iran from procuring nuclear weapons.

  13. Séamus Ó Néill says

Britain would like to think that’s it’s still a world power… once had a nefarious empire gained through genocide, slavery, famine, slaughter, rape and pillage. Piracy, at the behest of its master America, is nothing new for these perfidious tramps and should be met with a similar response. The EU is also a toothless chicken puppet of the American regime and the sooner it also disintegrates, the better for humanity !
